What's Inside Education Programs

From our Graduate Minor in Complementary Therapies and Healing Practices, Post-Baccalaureate Certificate program and health coaching track, study-abroad, continuing education programs and online learning, the Center provides healthcare professionals, students and the greater community access to the latest approaches in complementary and alternative healthcare education.

Collaborating with the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center's schools and colleges, the Center helps weave complementary and alternative care topics into graduate and undergraduate health sciences curricula. Health sciences students learn how different cultures, faiths and integrative therapies can impact clinical care and health and well-being.

APPLY NOW! A. Marilyn Sime Scholarship 2008

The Center for Spirituality & Healing is proud to offer its first student scholarship, available to graduate minors and certificate students in  Complementary Therapies and Healing Practices.  The deadline for applications is June 30th, 2008.  For further information click here or call Carla Mantel at 612-624-5166.

Health Coaching Track

The Center now offers a formal track in health coaching under our graduate-level Certificate in Complementary Therapies and Healing Practices.

Health coaching is a new profession designed to meet the needs of people actively seeking to improve their well-being in the midst of complex and often confusing healthcare options. It is practiced from a holistic perspective that sees each person as intrinsically healthy, whole, wise, and the ultimate expert in his or her healing journey.
