Research Studies

As of January 2003, there were 56 completed research studies on Healing Touch. These studies consist of quantitative, qualitative, and triangulated research designs. Since the Healing Touch program is relatively young, research on Healing Touch is in its early stages and has developed primarily out of clinical practice. Research on Healing Touch consists predominately of educational work and hospital-based evaluations.

Healing Touch International, the certifying association, carries out an active research program. Their website, www.healingtouch.net, contains completed research projects and as well as those in process. Their site also includes downloadable bibliographies of research articles on Healing Touch, Energy Related Therapies, and Spirituality.
