Referrals

Before referring a patient to someone for hypnosis, it is advisable to determine that the person is a licensed professional (e.g., MD, DDS, licensed psychologist, advanced practice or master's level nurse, or master's level social worker) with training relevant to the presenting problem.

It is also important that the person has received competent professional training in hypnosis.
