The Osteopathic Concept
The Osteopathic concept is essentially that any observable, palpable alteration in the normal anatomy (somatic dysfunction) is a sign that disease (or, as some prefer, dis-ease) is present and that correction or normalization of this abnormality would resolve or facilitate improvement of the disease process.
Generally, the free normal flow and actions of nerves, arteries, veins, lymphatics, and cerebrospinal fluid are addressed in an osteopathic evaluation and treatment. |
