In the almost two and a half thousand years that followed, Chinese medicine has developed into a sophisticated system of medicine. The use of Chinese medicine first spread across Asia and is now practiced around the world. Throughout the course of its long evolution, Chinese medicine has influenced, and been influenced by the many cultures and systems of medicine with which it came into contact.
