Causes of Disharmony
Because the dynamics of yin and yang are always shifting
and changing in the world around us, we must continuously
respond to these changes in order to maintain the harmony
of yin and yang in our lives and so maintain our health and
well-being.
If we can perceive the dynamics of yin and yang clearly and
can formulate a response that is appropriate to the conditions
of the moment and one that maximizes the wise use of our Qi,
then we can better maintain our health and optimize our well-being.
If we do not make an appropriate response to change, either
because we are not paying attention or because we lack the
wisdom and skill to formulate an appropriate response, or
simply because we lack the Qi to respond with, then the harmony
of yin and yang in our life may tilt into a pattern of disharmony
and subsequently into disease and suffering, and possible
disintegration.
