At least a month before your first class starts, make sure you have the necessary software to run WebVista, which is the tool we use to deliver the online part of the courses. The first link listed under WebVista Resources helps you get set up.
Make sure that you learn how to use WebVista, either by doing the online tutorial, or by taking an in-person student orientation. NOTE: It is your responsibility to use the University of Minnesota resources (classes, tutorial, support services) to learn how to use WebVista). Your course instructor will NOT teach you how to use the tool or accept any excuses for not completing assignments because of a lack of Vista knowledge.
Set-up for WebVista, which checks if you have the necessary software, and includes links to get a supported browser and Sun Java plugin—if needed: http://www.webct.umn.edu/browser
