Brief Biography
Debbie Ringdahl, MS, RN, CNM is a faculty member of the Center for Spirituality and Healing, where she teaches Reiki Healing Level I and II. She completed her level I Reiki in 1982, level II in 1996, and Mastery in 2000.
She also teaches in the Nurse-Midwifery and Women’s Health program, involved in both the didactic and clinical portions of the curriculum. She completed her Master’s degree in Nursing and certification in nurse-midwifery in 1982 and has maintained clinical practice until 2005.
Her initial entry into Reiki practice was pain relief and relaxation for women in labor. Her more recent interest as been Reiki use for chronic health conditions, including management of pain, fatigue, and depression/anxiety. She has also been involved in teaching Reiki to health care professionals, including nurses, dentists, and veterinarians.
She is co-author of the Reiki chapter in Complementary/Alternative Therapies in Nursing(2006) edited by M. Snyder and R. Lindquist.
