Educational Background
Dr. Eric Anderson earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Yale University and received his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. He completed internal medicine training at the University of Minnesota in 1981 and is board-certified in both palliative and internal medicine. His advanced training includes a mini-fellowship in Palliative Care Practice and Education at Harvard Medical School, and additional study with Dr. Robert Twycross at Oxford University, England.
Brief Biography
Dr. Eric Anderson provides palliative medicine consultation to inpatients at United and Unity hospitals. He is the Palliative Care medical director for Allina Home Care, Hospice and Palliative Care, a large home care and hospice program serving eastern Minnesota. Additionally, he is Medical Director of a long-term health care facility.
Eric teaches a clinical rotation in Palliative Care at the Center for Spirituality and Healing: "Interdisciplinary Palliative Care: An Experiential Course in a Community Setting".

Research Interests
Healing and hope occur, even in the midst of terminal illness. I believe that an integrated approach honoring mind, body and spirit offers the greatest potential for growth at the end of life. His special interests include mind-body medicine and palliative medicine.
