Brief Biography
Patricia Hart, MD practiced as an internist and nephrologist for 14 years before completing a Bush Fellowship grant studying a broad range of complementary therapies and healing practices. In addition to now working as a hospitalist in acute and chronic rehabilitation settings, she and Dr. Karen Lawson are responsible for complementary and alternative therapies curriculum at the University of Minnesota Medical School and provide educational initiatives for medical students and residency programs around issues of self care.
She walks the talk of self-care, balancing part time work with family and a longstanding meditation practice, including regularly scheduled meditation retreats.
