Green Tea and Reduction of Breast Cancer Risk

The green tea study is a five-year clinical trial based in Minnesota that began in July 2009. This research study is investigating the effects of green tea consumption on biological factors (biomarkers) that influence breast cancer risk. 800 healthy postmenopausal women 50-70 years of age with high breast density (as determined by mammogram) will be recruited to consume either green tea pills or placebo (inactive) pills for one year.
