Impact of a Residential Integrated Treatment Program for Women with Eating Disorders
Principal Investigator: Jillian Croll, PhD, MPH, RD, LD, Director, Education, Research and Program Development; The Emily Project Co-Principal Investigator: Mary Jo Kreitzer, PhD, RN, Director, Center for Spirituality & Healing, University of Minnesota Funding Source and Amount: BlueCross Blue Shield Foundation ($300,000); Park Nicollet Foundation ($100,000) Grant Period: 02/2002-02/2009 Abstract: This grant is funding a five-year comprehensive evaluation of an integrated residential treatment program for women with eating disorders. The Anna Westin House offers a treatment program that includes conventional therapies as well as acupuncture, mind-body interventions, movement and art therapies, spirituality, energy and manual therapies. Outcomes evaluated will include physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being as well as cost/financial implications.
