Engaging the Larger Community
Public engagement is core to the mission of the University of Minnesota's Center for Spirituality & Healing.
For us, engaging is an exchange. It extends the reach of our learning opportunities and research, while ensuring that diverse perspectives and voices from the community inform the Center's work.
Focused around the theme Taking Charge of Your Health and Wellbeing, the Center's public engagement activities encompass online resources, formal programs such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, the Purpose Project, the Wellbeing Lecture Series, Healthy Eating/Healthy Living, and other sponsored lectures, workshops and events.
Center faculty and staff may be available for speaking engagements and collaborations including workshops, retreats, symposiums and conferences. The Center is often called upon to consult with various organizations and businesses, bringing in integrative therapies and healing practices programs for health and wellbeing. For more information, please visit our Services and Products section.
Our audiences are typically made up of healthcare professionals, consumers, faculty, staff and students, and number more than 15,000 annually.
