Summary

Cindy Wilcox has spent her career as a global leadership strategist and practitioner with over 20 years experience in leadership development across multiple sectors and 52 countries. Her leadership consulting has ranged from working with adolescent girls in the Tongan Islands, to the United Nations Emergency Food Aid Summit in Cairo Egypt, to Native American communities throughout Minnesota, and top Executive Teams in Fortune 100 Corporations. Cindy’s work at the Center includes oversight of academic and outreach offerings, while developing whole systems and wellbeing focused approaches to leadership and organizational offerings on behalf of the Center.

Previous employment includes Global Lead for Cargill’s High Performance Leadership Academy, responsible for program conceptualization, quality, design, and deployment in 52 different countries. Wilcox has also served as the Director of Training and Consulting Services at Search Institute, and a Training Consultant for Personnel Decisions, International. Previous employers include Norwest Corporation, the U.S. State Department, and USAID.

Wilcox has a Ph.D. in Leadership and Cultural Systems from Union Institute and University, Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition, she has a Master’s in Business Administration from the Carlson School of Management, a Masters of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor’s degree from the School for International Training. Wilcox is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach, as well as being certified in a number of assessment tools, including MBTI Step I and II, the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), the Hay Group Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI), and the Hogan Personality Inventory, Hogan Development Survey, and the Motives, Values and Preferences Inventory, the PDI Profiles, and Lominger Leadership Architect. She is also certified as a Human Systems Dynamics Professional.

Wilcox has an ongoing commitment to supporting the development and rights of women worldwide, and continues to work as a leader and coach in indigenous women’s leadership programs across the globe. She is a co-founder of Global Citizens Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to education and service learning in rural villages throughout the world (www.globalcitizens.org).

Wilcox continues to coach and consult in the areas of leadership presence, emotional and social intelligence, authenticity, and value-based leadership.
