Summary

Portia’s passion is helping you become more embodied and experience life fully.

She is a holistic and integrative healer, teacher, songstress, and hedge witch – with special interest in spiritual transformation, embodiment practices, mental-emotional wellness, women’s health & empowerment, constitutional balancing, collective consciousness, paradigm shifting, and global healing.

Portia is a lifelong student of meditation and mindfulness practices and has experience with a broad array of mind-body-spirit therapies, medicinal herbs and formulas, nutrition and food therapy, aromatherapy and essential oils, several styles of bodywork and energy medicine, shamanic healing, sound healing, ceremonial and ritual work, channeling and intuitive guidance, nature-based approaches, and traveled to Dharamsala, India to study Tibetan Medicine, Ayurveda, and Yoga, as well as has informally studied with many mentors in various wisdom traditions over the years. She also is a big book worm, podcast geek, and youtube presentation nerd – and believes a “good” education comes in many forms.

She is licensed in acupuncture by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and nationally certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

She has provided comprehensive care in multiple diverse settings throughout the Twin Cities area including Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s Penny George Institute, Fairview Hospital, Courage Kennedy Rehabilitation Institute, Aliveness Project, and Salvation Army Free Integrative Clinic, Pillsbury House Integrated Clinic, Ascent Acupuncture, and Qi Nordeast, as well as volunteered as an acupuncturist and health coach at Pathways Health Crisis Resource Center in south Minneapolis.

She teaches graduate courses at the University of Minnesota’s Center for Spirituality and Healing. And holds regular group events through Tall Reeds Healing Arts.

She is also a mother, partner, gardener, nature lover, musician, among other things.
