Theresa is a Graduate Faculty for the University of Minnesota’s Integrative Health and Well-Being Coaching Program. She co-teaches Fundamentals I and II as well as the Business of Health Coaching and Clinical Conditions courses. She has her Bachelors in Nursing from Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI and her Masters in Human Development from St. Mary’s University in Minneapolis, MN. She has a two year degree in Personal Coaching from Coach University.

Theresa has been nursing since 1995 in a variety of settings including inpatient cardiac/oncology/medical units, hospice, public health and school nursing, long-term care, traveling nursing, education of CNAs and LPNs at a technical college, wellness and holistic program coordination, clinical management, and process improvement/system level project management. She has coached in a variety of settings including her coaching practice that previously focused on resilience, self-care, work/life balance, prosperity consciousness and happiness; as well as her corporate individual and group coaching work at Clarian Health (currently IU Health) in Indianapolis, IN and Allina Health in Minneapolis as a wellness/health coach for employees. She is currently rebuilding a transformational coaching practice for women called Closeted Creatives Coaching that focuses on women learning to become vibrant, imaginative, and unforgettable.

Theresa is a certified holistic nurse and has extensive training in holistic practices including Reiki Master, Healing Touch Level 3, other advanced energy healing techniques, training in self-hypnosis and meditation, advanced coaching training, and breath techniques. She currently lives in Woodbury, MN and enjoys a variety of recreational activities including Zumba, dance, Pilates, training for the Dirty Girl in August, writing, drawing, collage, singing, spoiling her 16 nieces and nephews, reading anything she can get her hands on, and finding new ways to cook amazing vegan food. She is thrilled to have this opportunity to help create the next generation of health coaches who can help transform healthcare.
