Tuition & Scholarships

Each July, the University of Minnesota Board of Regents approves the tuition and fees for the upcoming year. Cost of attendance will vary for each student. Tuition rates are fees subject to change. See the OneStop links below for current tuition rates.

Full-Time Graduate student tuition is approximately $9,000 per semester for both residents and non-residents. In addition, there is a student services fee (approximately $450/semester), a College Fee (approximately $210/semester), Course Fees (approximately $300/semester) and other University fees (approximately $185/semester).

Part-Time Graduate student tuition is approximately $1,487 per credit, for both residents and non-residents. In addition, there are Course Fees (approximately $300/semester). For part-time students, student services fees are charged based on how many credits a student is taking.

Student Health Benefit:
Students who are: 1) admitted to a degree program; and 2) registered for six or more credits per semester that count towards the automatic assessment of the Student Services Fee; are required by the University of Minnesota to have health insurance.
