"Focusing on employee mental health has never been more vital than now. Our ongoing, trusted partnership with the Center provides landmark, research-based resources customized to take care of our team. These materials and practices are a leading light in our ongoing wellness strategy." Deanna Ekholm, SPHR, Chief Human Resources Officer, American Academy of Neurology
At the Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing, we have forged strategic partnerships with other universities, corporations, healthcare systems and health plans to broaden our reach. The Center is also a founding member of the Consortium of Academic Health Centers for Integrative Medicine. We regularly collaborate with community groups of all kinds to further our discovery and engagement efforts.
In addition, the Center works with a variety of clients ranging from small businesses to clinics and health systems to Fortune 500 companies, providing consultations, products and services in the areas of stress reduction, optimal healing environments, arts in healing, care model innovation, leadership development and integrative therapies and healing practices. Inspired by design-thinking principles, our approach in working with clients is to build capacity, as well as sustainability, by actively engaging them at every stage of our process. This partnership produces effective outcomes that are “co-created” and tailored to their unique needs.
"Room & Board places a high priority on the wellbeing of our staff members. We have found a true partner in the Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing as they have helped us to significantly deepen our resources as it relates to our collective wellbeing. Earlier this year they conducted a six-week mindfulness course that had a significant impact on participants. We have leveraged that course companywide through the Center’s innovative partnership with Being. Not only are programs such as this the right thing to do for our teams, these tools bring renewed perspective and clarity that enhance the success of our business. We are grateful to have built a good foundation with the Center for Spirituality and Healing and we look forward to future collaboration." -- Nancy Greatrix Manley, Director of Human Resources, Room & Board
