May 9: The Neuroscience of Exercise and Public Dance - A workshop with Dr. Wendy Suzuki
Why do we feel so good when we move? What happens in our brains and bodies when we exercise and dance? Dr. Suzuki shares with us her work on how aerobic exercise can improve learning, memory, and higher cognitive abilities. She will offer her first impression of the mind-body practice Don’t You Feel It Too? and theorize what may be the benefits of this practice for a happier life. The workshop is participatory and will begin with a DYFIT session outdoors. Everyone is welcome. Learn more.
