CSPH 5707 - Coaching People with Clinical Conditions

This is a blended course. Course will meet primarily online, but will have required in person dates. Check the class search for in person meeting dates and times. 

 

Course Description:

This course provides the student with a basic awareness and expanded perception of prevalent clinical conditions, and supports the development of empathy related to these conditions. It continues to build coaching skills specific to coaching clients with clinical conditions. And it supports the development of professional oral and written communication skills. 

Course Objectives:

At the conclusion of the course, a student will: 
    • Explore and comprehend basic awareness and expanded perception of prevalent clinical conditions. 

    • Demonstrate empathetic understanding of what it is like to live with and manage a clinical condition. 

    • Demonstrate health and wellbeing coaching skills used in coaching people with clinical conditions. 

    • Demonstrate professional written and oral communication skills
